NABU pursues the case of Kyiv’s "overseer" Komarnytskyi: Is Artur Palatnyi next?

Politician Artur Palatnyi is a key associate of Kyiv’s “overseer,” Denys Komarnytskyi, who represents Mayor Vitaliy Klychko. Notably, Komarnytskyi, whose back office has already been raided by the National Anti-Corruption Bureau in connection with a 12 million UAH corruption scheme, maintained constant contact with the mayor’s close friend.

«As we have already mentioned, Artur Palatnyi is a key partner for Komarnytskyi from Klychko’s team. Komarnytskyi was the first in this scheme, but first among equals. According to our information, Palatnyi’s voice is not on the ORD tapes, but Komarnytskyi was constantly in contact with him. In the tapes, he refers to Palatnyi as a ‘neighbor’. Their meetings, the results of which Komarnytskyi often recounts, took place outside. Therefore, when NABU presents Palatnyi with a suspicion, it’s only a matter of time,» the article states.

However, according to the author, the question remains as to how exactly to link Palatnyi to Klychko. After all, political connections do not entail criminal liability.

«Will other evidence be found, or will Klychko publicly express his disappointment in Komarnytskyi, who acted behind his back, and he knew nothing about it? Just as he once did with Stolar?» the author notes.

Vitaliy Klychko has already stated that he is ready to cooperate with the investigation. He has already dismissed all official figures involved in the case from their positions.

«Klychko’s obvious guilt is that he allowed complete chaos in the capital, where everyone steals as they wish. Povoroznyk in healthcare, Pantelyeyev in utilities, Nepop in construction, Komarnytskyi in his own schemes,» a source in law enforcement noted.

The author noted that the 20-minute video published by NABU about corruption in Kyiv already featured the voice of Kyiv City Council Secretary Volodymyr Bondarenko. However, there will be many more surprises and names.
